Cross-Exchange Funding Rate Arbitrage

Compare funding rates for the same perpetual contract across different exchanges. Identify arbitrage opportunities by going long on the exchange with lower funding and short on the exchange with higher funding for the same underlying asset.

This page shows funding rate differentials for the same coin across exchanges. For example, if BTC funding is 0.01% on MEXC but 0.08% on Bybit, you can capture the 0.07% spread by going long on MEXC and short on Bybit.

How cross-exchange funding arbitrage works

The same perpetual contract often trades at different funding rates on different exchanges due to varying supply and demand dynamics. By opening offsetting positions across exchanges, you can capture the funding rate differential while remaining market-neutral on the underlying asset.

Risk considerations

Accounts on multiple exchanges are required. Monitor exchange-specific risks including withdrawal delays, KYC requirements, and potential rate convergence. The spread may narrow or reverse quickly during high volatility periods.
